(Queens, NY) – Resorts World Casino New York City will host a Mobile Care Clinic in partnership with the American Italian Cancer Foundation on Thursday, March 9 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
At the Mobile Care Clinic, community members will have the opportunity to receive no-cost digital mammograms and clinical breast exams. Women who meet the eligibility requirements are invited to participate and can schedule a free appointment by calling (718) 215-2828 ext. 3715 or 1-877-628-9090. All services are at no cost and uninsured patients are welcomed. There will be no co-pays and deductibles are waived.
The American Italian Cancer Foundation’s Mobile Care Clinic provides no-cost mammograms and clinical breast exams to thousands of medically underserved women, many of whom have no insurance and could not otherwise afford such care. Eligible women must be aged 40 years or older with insurance or aged 50 years or older without insurance, have a New York City mailing address, and have not had a mammogram in the past 12 months.
Medical services are provided by Multi-Diagnostic Services. This event is funded by a grant from the New York State Department of Health Cancer Services Program and additional funding is provided by the New York City Council, the National Breast Cancer Foundation, NYS Assembly, Susan G. Komen Greater NY, NY GreaterGood.org, the RAR Foundation, and individual patrons.
