“[This ends a] decades-long cycle of developers pushing out the middle class from affordable housing opportunities. Today we take our own future in our own hands. We’re going to show this city and the state how you build workforce housing under a union [project labor agreement for] union workers…This generational program now offers a way to make that happen through a unique approach to housing that will improve the lives of countless New Yorkers.”

Press Release
We're building homes for the people powering New York City
Resorts World's Workforce Housing Initiative, funded through the Cirrus Workforce Housing Fund, is a landmark partnership with organized labor to deliver tens of thousands of new homes for working families across New York City. Every unit is union financed and union built, with onsite workforce training programs, financial literacy resources, health clinics, childcare, and adult day care woven into each development. This isn't just housing. It's a long-term investment in stable, thriving communities where families can afford to live, work, and grow.
“This generation affordability crisis can only be solved with an unprecedented investment in building affordable housing. I couldn’t be more grateful to RWNYC and Cirrus for this historic, union-centric agreement to build tens of thousands of units of housing to support working families, and I look forward to working with all our partners to create these homes as rapidly as possible.”
