Heavyweight Champion Evander Holyfield and Real Deal Boxing Team Up with Resorts World and Boys and Girls Club of Metro Queens to Give Back to the Community

  • Home

(Queens, NY) – Four-time heavyweight boxing champion (and Boys and Girls Clubs of America alumnus) Evander Holyfield, as well as top contenders and prospects with Real Deal Boxing, will join students from the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Queens at Boys & Girls’ gym in a community meet and greet on September 6 at 4p.m., in conjunction with Resorts World Casino New York City (RWCNYC).

The event comes days before Real Deal Sports and Entertainment’s first-ever card in New York City, taking place at RWCNYC in Queens on Saturday, September 9. Holyfield and various boxers participating in the fight will be on hand to meet and interact with the students.

A member of the Boys and Girls Club Hall of Fame himself, Holyfield first stepped into the ring at the Warren Unit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta when he was 8 years old. Three years later, he qualified to compete in his first Junior Olympics, and through an honorary membership, he continued to box at the Club until making the 1984 U.S. Olympic team at age 21. Holyfield has donated $1 million to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, and now will bring Real Deal Boxing to Metro Queens in a show of solidarity with the community.
