  • Home

(Queens, NY) – Resorts World Casino New York City is proud to partner with the Queens Historical Society to celebrate Women’s History Month this March. The exhibit celebrates the life and works of six women who changed the world and called Queens home. The Red Wall Gallery will showcase photos, artifacts, documents, and letters.

“Leading the Way” features six pioneering women with ties to Queens. From Betty Friedan, author of the “Feminine Mystique,” who lived in Queens in the 40s and 50s and taught journalism at Queens College to Helen Keller, the iconic social activist who lived in Forest Hills from 1917 to 1938, and Yeou-Cheng Ma, a renowned musician and 20-year Queens resident, the exhibit will show guests the many multi-talented women who have lived in the borough. The gallery also features opera singer Rise Stevens, theoretical physicist Lisa Randall, and author and social activist Grace Lee Boggs.

The exhibit is on display at Resort’s World Casino’s Red Wall Gallery and will run through March 28th.
