New executive to oversee Resorts World Catskills

NEW YORK CITY, NY — Genting Group announced on Dec. 17 the appointment of Bob DeSalvio, a 40-year veteran of the gaming industry, as President of Genting New York State, where he will oversee all operations at Resorts World Catskills (RWC) & Resorts World Casino New York City (RWNY).

Genting and Kein Huat acquired the remaining shares of RWC in November and the tow organizations already owned RWNY, which the describe as the highest grossing slots casino in the world and, the only one in New York City.

Most recently, DeSalvio served as president of Encore Boston Harbor, a $2.6 billion project that opened in June. He has also served as president of Sands Casino Resort in Pennsylvania and he spent nearly 10 years at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut.
