Resorts World New York City Hosts the Annual Lunar New Year Celebration- One of its Most Beloved Community Events

Queens, NY – Resorts World New York City (RWNYC) announced today it’s got an exciting lineup of events to help you welcome the Year of the Tiger. This year’s Lunar New Year celebration includes a Blessing Ceremony Lion Dance, Electronic Table Game (ETG) Lucky Envelope Giveaway, and Gong Xi Fa Cai 888 Cash Drawing. The main lobby is decorated with a traditional Lunar New Year theme consisting of flowers, lanterns, gold coins and peach blossom trees symbolizing prosperity, good fortune, happiness and popularity.

The traditional Blessing Ceremony and Lion Dance will take place in the main lobby on Tuesday, February 1 at 12:00 p.m. New York City Council Member Joann Ariola is scheduled to attend. Then, from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m., a “Fortune God” in full costume will hand out “Lucky Money” in red envelopes to the first 250 guests who present a printed voucher.

February 1 also marks the start of the ETG Lucky Envelope Giveaway, which runs through Monday, February 7. The first 100 guests each day who earn 38 points playing on any ETGs on property during the promotion period will receive a lucky red envelope from the Baccarat Club, stuffed with between $10 and $100.

The Gong Xi Fa Cai 888 Cash Drawing will close out the celebration on Friday, February 18 at 8 p.m. Any guests who play games throughout RWNYC from February 1 through February 18 who earn 88 points will receive one (1) entry to the Lucky Draw. Guests can earn multiple entries for every 88 points accrued. All RWNY’s Members will be awarded 1 free entry into the drawing, on February 18th from 5pm-7:30pm. Eight (8) winners will be announced on the drawing date and will win up to $28,888.
