Resorts World New York Honors Commitment to Responsible Gaming During Problem Gambling Awareness Month

New York – March is Problem Gambling Awareness Month and Resorts World New York City is using the opportunity to raise awareness of problem gambling and encourage responsible gaming. Resorts World partners with the New York Council on Problem Gambling to honor its longstanding commitment to responsible gaming, providing Resorts World with the most current and comprehensive training in the industry.

Responsible Gaming Centers are located at the Resorts World properties in New York City and the Catskills, which offer resources for education, support, and counseling. Employees who undergo Responsible Gaming training learn how to recognize warning signs of problem gambling and refers guests to resources when prompted. The training is usually live but it’s virtual this year due to the pandemic. Resorts World offers a process where gamers who suspect they have a problem can voluntarily ask to be barred from access to gambling activities by visiting one of the Responsible Gaming Centers.

“Resorts World is committed to educating our employees and guests on responsible gaming and continues to do so year-round. We are confident our Responsible Gaming Centers provide the most comprehensive training in the industry that provides employees with the reliable gambling tools, information, and empowerment they need to protect our guests,” said Christopher Jones, Director of Property Operations at Resorts World New York City.

Self-exclusion at either property results in exclusion at all gaming facilities under NY Gaming Commission.
