Queens, NY – The Hyatt Regency JFK at Resorts World New York City, the first 4-star hotel to open in Southeast Queens in over 50 years, hosted the Queens Tourism Council’s 2023 kickoff meeting on March 14. The event gathered leaders from cultural, economic, and tourism institutions from throughout Queens to network, brainstorm, and plan for a great year ahead.
“Queens truly offers a little something for everyone, whether you’re into delicious food, sports or the arts,” said Michelle Stoddart, Vice President of Community Development, Resorts World New York City. “Plus, as home to two major airports, people from all over the world are coming in and out of the borough every day. This meeting was really a way for us to sit down with our partners and come up with ways to entice people to spend even more time here and experience our vibrant and culturally rich neighborhoods like a local.”
RWNYC presented information about its Community Partners program, which gives Genting Rewards members, its recognition and rewards program, exclusive offers at community partner businesses. Whether you’re visiting or just want to play tourist for the day in your own city, you can get deals on everything from restaurants to food tours, dinners cruises, museums and more. More than 100 businesses are currently enrolled.
“The goal of Resorts World’s Community Partners program is to support small to mid-sized businesses in our hometown of Queens,” said Stephanie Yeh, Community Development Specialist, Resorts World New York City. “This program is designed to help businesses grow and thrive by offering exclusive discounts to our casino players while in turn, gaining advertising and promotional opportunities. This program is just one of the many ways we support the Queens community.”
