Resorts World New York City Hosting Blood Drive in Partnership with New York Blood Center to Help Unique Donors Find Their Match

Queens, NY – To help New Yorkers with unique immunodeficiency diseases, Resorts World New York City is partnering with the New York Blood Center (NYBC) to host a blood drive next Thursday, June 3rd from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. New York Blood Center’s “Be The Match” program helps patients fight blood cancers and other diseases by connecting them with their genetically matched donor. Donors can join the “Be The Match” registry to connect with an unrelated marrow patient to save their life. The blood drive will take place in Central Park Event Space. Each donor will receive a New York Blood Center t-shirt.

All donors should bring their donor ID card or ID with name and photo. Appointments are necessary, but walk-ins are welcome if room capacity permits.

New York Blood Center is one of the largest independent, community-based, nonprofit blood centers in the United States. Each year, it supports more than 600 hospitals and dozens of research organizations, academic institutions, and biomedical companies.
