Resorts World Supports Those Affected by Breast Cancer During Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Catskills, NY, Hudson Valley, NY, and Queens, NY – Resorts World announced today its team members across New York State honored those affected by breast cancer throughout the month of October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Resorts World Catskills (RWC) donated $5,000 to the American Cancer Society, along with $1,842 raised by employees. RWC employees, along with team members from the soon-to-open Resorts World Hudson Valley (RWHV), took part in the Making Strides of Hudson Valley walk on Sunday, October 16 at Woodbury Common Premium Outlets.

“Our sincere thanks to the Resorts World team for serving as a source of encouragement and support for those who are currently battling breast cancer, survivors, and their family and friends,” said Kristi Greco, Senior Development Manager, American Cancer Society in Hudson Valley. “Their generous donation will help fund the American Cancer Society’s efforts to fight breast cancer.”

10 RWHV team members also took part in the 2022 Hudson Valley Plane Pull on Sunday, October 2 at Stewart International Airport to honor cancer survivors. They embraced their inner strength and worked together to pull a United GoJet CRG 145 – 50 passenger plane across the tarmac.

A group from Resorts World New York City (RWNYC) participated in the Making Strides of Queens walk on Sunday, October 16 at Flushing Meadows Corona Park. RWNYC also donated $5,000, plus $1,800 raised by its employees, to the American Cancer Society.

“We’re so fortunate to work for an organization that cares about important causes like the fight against breast cancer,” said Meghan Taylor, VP Government Affairs & Public Relations, Resorts World New York. “But it’s especially heartwarming when our employees also take time out of their weekends to help raise awareness and give back to the community.”
