What are the job qualifications for a table games dealer?
A Table Games Dealer is expected to exemplify Resorts World’s core values, which are honesty, loyalty, compassion, hard work and harmony.
– Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the United States.
– Ability to qualify for, obtain, and maintain a New York State Gaming Commission license.
– Required to successfully complete a pre-employment background check.
– Must be able to attend educational events, briefings, and training sessions required for professional skill improvement and learning new procedures.
How do I become a table games dealer at Resorts World New York City?
To become a table games dealer, you must first enroll in the Resorts World New York City Dealer Training School.
How do I enroll in dealer school?
Visit the Resorts World New York City website at www.rwnewyork.com. Under the tab “RW’s Next Chapter,” select the Table Games Dealer School link and complete the contact form. A Resorts World team member will follow up regarding upcoming class availability.
When do the next dealer school classes begin?
The next session begins on March 23, 2026.
What are the requirements for dealer school?
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, successfully complete a basic math assessment, and be eligible for approval of a New York State gaming license.
Are there any payments required for training at dealer school?
There is no tuition cost. The commitment is attendance: a 10-week program consisting of 20 hours per week.
What is the 10-week course curriculum?
The 10-week dealer school curriculum includes
– 2 weeks of Introduction to Gaming
– 4 weeks of Blackjack
– 4 weeks of Baccarat
Each course concludes with a required live classroom audition. (Students are required to complete all training hours before audition)
What is expected for the classroom audition?
The classroom audition is a live, hands-on evaluation conducted by casino management. Students demonstrate and are evaluated on their dealing skills, including accuracy, speed, and table presence. Students are allowed one retake after an initial failed audition. Passing the audition is required to be considered for employment.
Am I allowed to miss any class time?
New York State mandates a specific number of instructional hours for certification. Limited absences may be permitted; however, all missed time must be made up to successfully complete the program.
What are the operating hours of Resorts World New York City?
As a commercial casino, with live table games, Resorts World New York City will be open 24 hours a day 7days a week, 365 days a year.
What is the typical dealer work schedule?
Dealers generally work five days per week with eight-hour shifts.
Do dealers work on holidays and weekends?
Holiday and weekend work is required. Competitive holiday pay is offered, and weekends provide strong tip-earning opportunities.
How much do dealers earn?
Dealer compensation includes an hourly base wage plus tips, which make up a significant portion of total earnings. Combined compensation is expected to reach six figures.
Are uniforms provided?
Yes. The company provides uniforms and professional cleaning services.

How safe is the dealer work environment?
The casino maintains comprehensive surveillance systems and a dedicated on-site security team operating 24/7.
Can casino employees gamble at Resorts World New York City?
No. Employees are prohibited from gambling at the casino where they are employed.
